To get to the ruin you can either follow the wide track that spirals its way from the car park to the top or, if more adventurous, take the direct path straight up! It’s shorter, but will definitely get those lungs working. The return journey was about 14KM. This leg of the Dublin Mountains Way was my favourite so far.
